Today/Yesterday has been good, went to Mellor, with Meller in the daytime. Got a pint at the pub and then it decided to shut, which was disappointing, but not a major inconvenience as the pubs of Marple Bridge were but a 10 minute bus journey away.

Left at around 6:15 and got a train to Manchester, and then on to Liverpool. Arriving at around 7:30, a most pleasingly short time to cover such a large distance.

In Liverpool I went to see Mogwai, they were excellent. Very excellent, best gig of this year so far by miles, played plenty of the new album stuff and some classics. It was worth every penny and every mile travelled.

Although I'm not sure how it took 2 and a half hours to get home from there, where did all that time go?

So yeah, played a gig in London tonight, saw Meller, got to venue at 6:30, got food, sounchecked, played, left at 9:15 and got the last train back to Manchester, home by 1:00. Gig went rather well, pretty big crowd, good response, got rid of a few CD's. Managed to get a bit merry on the train home, and annoy the man sat behind us, and write swear words on every page of the in train magazine. Oh, and for the people on my LJ and not anyone elses (not many) hear some songs at www.myspace.com/amidaband

Also, TRUCK HAS SOLD OUT!!!!!!!

Absolute nightmare, the best festival about sells out in a week, even though I didn't even know the tickets were on sale. Apparently in order to get tickets now you have to buy them in person from shops in Oxfordshire, but that is far away.

Bugger

Banks are shit

EVERY cash machine in the 4 heatons area tonight was either "OUT OF SERVICE" or I got as far as getting my money out and it said "THIS SERVICE IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE". How can withdrawing money be "Temporarily unavailable" IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!!!! TELL ME THAT BEFORE I'VE TYPED IN MY PIN AND GOT MY HOPES UP!!!

I went through 6 cash machines

6!!!!!!!!

Eventually I had to skive some money off my parents to pay

Otherwise, tonight was good fun.

It is late and the cat is next to me making grunting noises and generally being a cat

Tonight did nothing spectacular, a few pubs and bars and went home.

Last week similar, except managed to get high on various solvents at uni on friday. And played a gig on wednesday and then went out and got hammered.

Tomorrow I'm going to see The National, should be alright.

I'm cold now, so I'm going to go to sleep.

Went to see the Crimea last night, the Crimea are ACE. Saw simon long hair stoners' sister there and somehow got a lift home from town because of it which was good as the gig finished really late and I'd missed the last bus home.

Tonight went to band practice and decided to give the Smiths disco a go for a bit to see MELLER and try out the smiths disco, the smiths disco seemed pretty overrated, like the new upstairs gents toilets. Got the last 50 home and promptly got stuck in traffic coz Wilmslow Road was shut right through Rusholme because of Eid.

And now I'm home and I might go to bed because I have to be awake again in 5 hours, smile tomorrow!

HURR

I FEEL LIKE UPDATING

Went to the pub tonight with Zieba (which I found out is actually prounounced "Diemba") to watch the football match, Poland lost so he owed Steph £5. And he managed to not get beat up despite wearing the poland kit.

Afterwards we got a pizza and I ended up at Paul Muldoons house with his dog in a cage, and his other dog barking at me. Then I got a taxi away from the Muldoon madness and came home.

And now the cat is running around the house looking confused.

And now I am confused

Lol

Went to smile last night

Everyone went, it was good fun. Although I don't remember parts of it towards the end, Other than "this town aint big enough for the both of us" and Shawn Dooley on the 192 afterwards. Most people seemed to leave quite early, except for Me, Tom, Holly and Warren. And winning some money on Who Wants To Be A Legionnaire.

Shawn Dooley told us the *real* reason for Zieba being sacked from Morrisons.

Went to Hollys house afterwards, and played Monopoly. I took Mellers place, we gave up at around 6am (clocks went forward) and went to sleep. Got up at some point, had some brekkie and played on Hollys computer. Surprisingly had no hangover.

Next, resumed Monopoly and watched Hook. I went bankrupt, annoyingly. Went home, had tea, eat toblerone.

Meow

Wheeeeeeeee, Time for a new post

NOTHING HAPPENED LAST WEEK

Other than on Wednesday, when I made a solo excursion to the trafford centre and bought NEWMOGWAIALBUM and ADAMANDJOEDVD which were duly listened/watched to.

ADAMANDJOEDVD is especially good fun

FRIDAY I went to the SU and drank a bit, made a mix CD when I got home for some reason. If anybody wants it they can comment and ask me so.

SATURDAY I went to SMILE again, SMILE was fun. I drank more than I should have done and generally had a good time of it. Woke up SUNDAY hoarse due to the shouting that took place.

MONDAY I got paid but was too busy to spend any of it, that came on...

TUESDAY when I went to college, finished early and walked in the opposite direction to which I usually walk to the city centre after college. Ended up at a massive junction somewhere and bought a McDonalds and went back into the centre again.

In the centre I went to OLDHAM STREET where, as turning the corner from CHURCH STREET to OLDHAM STREET (where Westworld is on the corner" PHIL appeared out of nowhere so I hung about with him for a while. And then he went home. So I bought the new BROKEN FAMILY BAND album and a (reasonably) old EMPRESS album

(EDIT, throught some bizarre twist of fate, my computer just crashed and restarted, but this entry has managed to save itself somehow. I blame the parents)

WEDNESDAY I woke up at 1ish and did nothing (except computer and adamandjoedvd) until 7:30ish when I left the house and headed for the bus stop. At the bus stop I waited 5 minutes or so for the 42, on which I joined JAMES, then me and james went to THE PUB for a while and then on to 42ND STREET (same number as the bus) and drank more than I should have in the few hours I was there. 42ND STREET was scarily more empty as I have remembered it in the past. Then I came home on the 142 (that number again) bus and walked home and went on the INTERNET

THIS ENTRY IS OVER

GO AWAY

The days

Last week was shit until Thursday, Thursday was good.

Thursday was Hood, Leeds was Hood, Leeds was Good.

Arrived in Leeds, went to a pub, went to another pub, went to the venue. Which was awesome, a little social club in the middle of a housing area. With reassuringly social club priced drinks. Drank more. Hood were awesome, been wanting to see them for years now so it was a very pleasant experience.

Left the gig (after buying a fetching T-Shirt) and headed back to the city centre across the dark dark park, it was a dark dark park. Tried to make the early train, but realised we had 5 minutes to go right across the city centre so went to Fab Café instead. The Fab Café in Leeds is superior to the Manchester one, it actually has a dance floor, and silent scope.

Enough of Leeds

Saturday went to James's's's's and watched TV and drank. Showed everyone the joys of Convoy, but fell asleep shortly after it finished. Due to a combination of drink and only having 5 hours sleep the night before.

Last night went to see the Broken Family Band, they were awesome, Meller sold me out half way through and missed the best bit of the set though. The lamer.

Not done much else since, and don't plan to do much else. I don't have a lot of money.

I've been using the word "awesome" too much lately
