Hooray! A fun night out!

A flurry of wasted fun, stolen quality street and cheese and scary people on buses.

Now I have to go and soundcheck for a last minute gig, why? I don't know

Today/Yesterday has been good, went to Mellor, with Meller in the daytime. Got a pint at the pub and then it decided to shut, which was disappointing, but not a major inconvenience as the pubs of Marple Bridge were but a 10 minute bus journey away.

Left at around 6:15 and got a train to Manchester, and then on to Liverpool. Arriving at around 7:30, a most pleasingly short time to cover such a large distance.

In Liverpool I went to see Mogwai, they were excellent. Very excellent, best gig of this year so far by miles, played plenty of the new album stuff and some classics. It was worth every penny and every mile travelled.

Although I'm not sure how it took 2 and a half hours to get home from there, where did all that time go?

So yeah, played a gig in London tonight, saw Meller, got to venue at 6:30, got food, sounchecked, played, left at 9:15 and got the last train back to Manchester, home by 1:00. Gig went rather well, pretty big crowd, good response, got rid of a few CD's. Managed to get a bit merry on the train home, and annoy the man sat behind us, and write swear words on every page of the in train magazine. Oh, and for the people on my LJ and not anyone elses (not many) hear some songs at www.myspace.com/amidaband

Also, TRUCK HAS SOLD OUT!!!!!!!

Absolute nightmare, the best festival about sells out in a week, even though I didn't even know the tickets were on sale. Apparently in order to get tickets now you have to buy them in person from shops in Oxfordshire, but that is far away.

Bugger

Banks are shit

EVERY cash machine in the 4 heatons area tonight was either "OUT OF SERVICE" or I got as far as getting my money out and it said "THIS SERVICE IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE". How can withdrawing money be "Temporarily unavailable" IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!!!! TELL ME THAT BEFORE I'VE TYPED IN MY PIN AND GOT MY HOPES UP!!!

I went through 6 cash machines

6!!!!!!!!

Eventually I had to skive some money off my parents to pay

Otherwise, tonight was good fun.

It is late and the cat is next to me making grunting noises and generally being a cat

Tonight did nothing spectacular, a few pubs and bars and went home.

Last week similar, except managed to get high on various solvents at uni on friday. And played a gig on wednesday and then went out and got hammered.

Tomorrow I'm going to see The National, should be alright.

I'm cold now, so I'm going to go to sleep.

Went to see the Crimea last night, the Crimea are ACE. Saw simon long hair stoners' sister there and somehow got a lift home from town because of it which was good as the gig finished really late and I'd missed the last bus home.

Tonight went to band practice and decided to give the Smiths disco a go for a bit to see MELLER and try out the smiths disco, the smiths disco seemed pretty overrated, like the new upstairs gents toilets. Got the last 50 home and promptly got stuck in traffic coz Wilmslow Road was shut right through Rusholme because of Eid.

And now I'm home and I might go to bed because I have to be awake again in 5 hours, smile tomorrow!

Got my phone going again now for those who care, it's the same number as before so no effort is required on your part.

Oops

I think I've managed to lose my phone so no-one bother ringing me or anything until I find it/get a new one. Not as if anyone really ever does anyway.

I blame you Phil for snaring me into your Leeds world and making me fall asleep on the train and manage to get off without my phone in my pocket somehow.

HURR

I FEEL LIKE UPDATING

Went to the pub tonight with Zieba (which I found out is actually prounounced "Diemba") to watch the football match, Poland lost so he owed Steph £5. And he managed to not get beat up despite wearing the poland kit.

Afterwards we got a pizza and I ended up at Paul Muldoons house with his dog in a cage, and his other dog barking at me. Then I got a taxi away from the Muldoon madness and came home.

And now the cat is running around the house looking confused.

And now I am confused

Monday I go to Prague for a few days with Phil and Jamie R, it will be ACE and I will make sure of it.

Come back on Thursday (Hopefully) and Friday make my way to the London commuter wilderness of Didcot to go to the legendary truck festival where I will see many fine acts.

Another update in a month

Bye Bye

Good gigs and Stockport are two things that NEVER come together

I think tonight was the exception, If more things like that happened, then I might be proud of living in Stockport for once.

02:52 am

The driver on the bus home from James' house turned the bus lights off and made me duck down as we went past Grand Central so it looked like it was empty and he wouldn't have to pick up any Heaven & Hell scummers. Hahahahahaha, bus drivers are silly Thomas Truax is playing IN STOCKPORT tomorrow at the Bakers Vaults, everyone should come, even if only to see someone good play at a venue in Stockport.

This weekend/start of week has been mad, I've been out every night since Saturday, often without sleep between days in an artificially induced haze.

EVERYONE WHO DIDN'T BOTHER TO COME TO BEARSUIT IS A FOOL.

Grandmaster Gareth was there, and Grandmaster Gareth rocks big style.

It's 7:00am, I've had 3 hours of sleep, and I've just eaten a microwave burger for my breakfast.

Mmmmmm

I feel very awake, which is strange. I doubt it'll last though. It's going to fade away just as I get off the train for work.
